How to Copy RDS Files from one HP to another HP
1. Turn the Source HP on.
2. Press the green right shift key then the TIC key (has HOME written above it in green). This will take you to the HOME directory.
3. Press the white key that corresponds to RDS.
4. The files: MENU REC CHO PCHO CANC CONTI should be on the bottom of the screen.
5. Press the NXT key (top right) you should now see CNT IOPAR UTILS PPAR on the bottom of the screen.
6. Press the NXT key again to take you back to the beginning files.
7. Press the green right shift key and the number 1 key (this key has I/O written above it in green).
8. When the screen changes SEND TO HP 48 should be highlighted.
9. Press the white key that corresponds to OK.
10. When the screen changes, press the white key that corresponds to CHOOS.
11. Now select which file(s) you want. Use the UP and DOWN arrows to highlight your selection.
12. Press the white key that corresponds to CHK. A check mark should appear to the left of your selection.
13. Press the white key that corresponds to OK.
14. When the screen changes, your selection(s) should appear in the blue highlight bar beside NAME:
15. Turn on the Target HP.
16. Press the green right shift key and the TIC key (this key has the word HOME written above it in green).
17. Press the white key that corresponds to RDS.
18. Press the green right shift key and the number 1 key (this key has I/O written above it in green).
19. When the screen changes use the DOWN arrow and highlight GET FROM HP 48.
20. Put the SOURCE and the TARGET HP on a flat surface approximately 2 inches apart.
21. Line up the raised triangles above the HP logo.
22. Press the Send key on the Source HP and the OK key on the Target HP at the same time.
23. You may have to move one or both calculators slightly to make them communicate.
24. Once the transfer is complete, the Source HP will return to the SEND TO HP screen.
25. Press the NXT key (top right).
26. Press the CANCL key to take you back to the HOME RDS directory.
27. Once the transfer is complete, the Target HP will go to the HOME RDS directory.
28. Your missing file(s) should now be in place.
