Best characterized as a business that develops, manufactures and sells electronic instrumentation for environmental monitoring. Remote Data Systems was established as a North Carolina corporation in 1993. Increasing regulatory demand for professional consultants to perform general assessments of wetland hydrology inspired our search for a low cost alternative to measure and monitor ground water levels in wetlands and other shallow ground water applications. |

Our objective was to develop an "electronic yardstick" as an alternative to the practice of manually gathering ground water depth measurements using a tape or rule. Today Remote Data Systems, Inc. products are currently sold throughout the United States and Canada for monitoring shallow ground water levels in natural and constructed wetlands, mitigation banks, retention ponds, stream flow and tidal studies. |
